The movie was leading to nowhere in the first 20 minutes....then the parallel lines bout the tree of life, research on Donovan & the cosmos made it really intriguing... especially the Spanish conquistador's storyline... and finally it was clear that it was all bout how 'Death' was dealt with, correlating all the three POVs....I am yet to sink in about the movie's climax.. Loved the screenplay... Hugh Jackman's performance...& the soundtrack... Hope Darren Aronofsky makes it even bigger with 'Black Swan'Shogunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13703962193778521978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8575458986196026351.post-62843233591710778182010-12-17T09:03:46.517+05:302010-12-17T09:03:46.517+05:30@deeraj:dai i have explained the plot cery briefly...@deeraj:dai i have explained the plot cery briefly. most of it is how i have interpreted the movie. i don know, ppl may come up with different interpretations. watch the movie and find out.<br />@andy: it'd be unfair to compare these two movies but then the question of a comparison arises only because these two movies have one thing in common: a complex screenplay! and i haven't questioned his popularity, its the person who has commented above! and ya, he was probably referring to aronofsky's popularity in india. and its a shame that we indians are not exposed to such brilliant film making.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18239957691329272327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8575458986196026351.post-79412145250134807032010-12-17T00:17:44.877+05:302010-12-17T00:17:44.877+05:30Good one..just cut down on the comparisons...Fount...Good one..just cut down on the comparisons...Fountain is a very different movie from inception...and Darren Aronofsky is very popular except in our dear India...So no misconceptions of him being under shade..and quality of a movie is not decided by the judges at Kodak theatersAnand Kumarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04022189270794733262noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8575458986196026351.post-55037349826653688712010-12-16T22:17:16.270+05:302010-12-16T22:17:16.270+05:30Machi no use in typing the whole plot! For the hype which you gave, i guess everyone would just skip that part cos *hard-core* inception fans like me, would most certainly want to see a movie which can detonate inception's concept...! But i ve heard about requiem for a dream as well as fountain (hugh jackman's role was actually given to brad pitt initially but he later walked away which caused a HUGE loss(read tat in deccan few years b4)) The wresler, one of his other movie, got nominated in 2009 oscars, but unfortunately, the movie got eclipsed by an undeserving movie called *the slum-dog millionaire*!! now when i wikied his name, i happened to notice that he was the director of the movie *pi*! that movie has jaw-dropping math concepts and numbers which can decode stock values which remain cryptic! ( better than 21 and good-will hunting when it comes to math)!! All i can say is.. a director, with such a potential, is still under the shade! Unfair!!!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05656870863479664578noreply@blogger.com
